Waiting for Gary

Waiting for Gary

Anya and Chris have been divorced for 18 years. When their daughter goes into labour, they are reunited outside the maternity ward, and in the exchange that follows, they are forced to confront each other, and the awkwardness of their past, as they wait for their new grandchild to arrive.

Waiting for Gary looks at questions of parenthood, pornography, and pooing during labour, in a brand new comedy from the winner of the OUDS New Writing Festival 2018, and President of the Oxford Revue, Katie Sayer.

Praise for Katie Sayer’s previous work:

“New writing at its very best” - Cherwell

“Sayer’s comedies are definitely to be looked out for” - Playstosee

“A masterpiece… I was genuinely enamoured” - The Oxford Student
