Peter Frankopan: The Tyranny of Eurocentrism

Peter Frankopan: The Tyranny of Eurocentrism

We live in a connected world where climate change, food shortages, large-scale migrations and military conflicts are reshaping cultures and economies. Peter Frankopan, renowned author of The Silk Roads and The New Silk Roads, will give his expert insights on the rhythms of global changes, encouraging us to move out of our comfort zones and face new futures.

As Professor of Global History Peter Frankopan travels widely across all continents to advise and listen to governments and leaders, and speak at universities and business schools.

The biennial Beatrice Blackwood Event commemorates one of the Pitt Rivers Museum’s pioneering anthropologists. Beatrice Blackwood travelled the world to study many peoples and their cultures, taught at the University of Oxford and donated thousands of artefacts, documents and objects to the Museum for visitors and researchers to learn from.
