This year the Oxford Pride Comedy Night aims to tickle your funny bones in new and inventive ways!
Join us, and QED Comedy Laboratory for a night of merriment and mirth with Oxfordshire’s wittiest stand ups and the talented folks that make Improv look easy.
Sam Lake, originally from Cornwall, is a London based Stand-Up Comedian. Described by Chortle as “A thoroughly engaging larger-than-life personality”, Sam openly shares stories and details from his life as a semi-camp gay man, moving from a small mining village to a big city and gearing up to become a happily married man. Sam has been performing comedy for 4 years and has a racked up a number of achievements, winning South Coast Comedian of the Year in 2016, Leicester Square Theatre’s New Comedian of the Year 2018 and Hastings Fringe Newcomer of the Year 2018. He was also nominated for the BBC New Comedy Award in 2017.
BBC New Comedy Award 2018 finalist, Runner up in 2017's So You Think You're Funny? competition, Funny Women Regional Finalist and Leicester Square New Comedian Semi-finalist, Sarah Mann is a regular on the Oxford comedy scene. Producer and MC at QED Comedy Lab's monthly night at Tap Social and a regular player at It's Debatable!, a monthly improvised debating show.
As heard on BBC Radio Oxford, Anna Dominey was noted as ‘One to Watch’ the Funny Women Awards in 2016. In the same year she was also a finalist for Riproar Comedy Gladiators. Since then she has appeared as a semi-finalist in the Leicester Square New Comedian competition, both in 2016 & 2017, as well as Bath New Act competition, in 2018.
