A Grade I, G.F. Bodley designed church and adjoining cloister that forms part of St Stephen's House, a Permanent Private Hall of the University.
Recently updated as a concert venue, SJE has underfloor heating and new lighting, comfortable chairs, a new toilet block, staging, and a Steinway D concert grand piano. The acoustic is superb.
SJE is on the Iffley Road opposite the University Sports Ground. Buses from Oxford city centre stop directly outside. Buses from London stop five minutes' walk away in St Clement's.

A fascinating mix of the Baroque and the modern, all involving the guitar. We hear Boccherini’s “Fandango” Quintet, and, via Astor Piazzolla, come up to date with pieces by Armand Coeck, Peter Hope and Matthew Hinson.
