Mercutio and Tybalt

"These violent delights have violent ends"

Before Romeo and Juliet, there was another secret love affair even more forbidden. A pair of star-cross'd lovers fall in love in Verona. Interlacing modern and Shakespearean text and told in a nonlinear way, the play traces the untold tumultuous relationship - love and betrayal, jealousy and lies - between Mercutio and Tybalt. Written and directed by Miriam Higgins.

An innovative theatre production brought to you by Leaning House (Dreamscape, A Midsummer Night's Dream, Contractions, and The Lover). Leaning House is an Oxford based theatre company, we aim to produce clear, uncluttered storytelling where characters come first. We love plays about twisted relationships and what happens behind closed doors.
