Louis de Bernières is the author of eight critically acclaimed novels and one collection of short stories. Captain Corelli’s Mandolin (1994) was an international bestseller and won the Commonwealth Writers’ Prize. A Partisan’s Daughter (2008) was shortlisted for the Costa Novel Award.
His second collection of poetry, Of Love and Desire, was published in 2016. His new novel, So Much Life Left Over, was published in July 2018. In November 2018 Louis’ third collection of poetry, The Cat in the Treble Clef was published. His most recent book, published in April 2019, is a collection of short stories, Labels and Other Stories. It features tales from throughout his career as a masterful storyteller and transports us around the globe. Louis de Bernières will talk about his writer’s life, his most recent novel, his poetry and his short stories.
