Federico Colli

Federico Colli

SJE Arts 6th International Piano Series

Federico Colli is recognised internationally for imaginative interpretations and impeccable technique. He first came to prominence on winning Salzburg Mozart Competition in 2011 followed by Leeds International Piano Competition in 2012 and has since performed widely in recital and under the baton of such notable conductors as Valery Gergiev, Vladimir Ashkenazy, Vasily Petrenko and Sir Mark Elder.

Highlights of Federico’s 2017/18 season included debuts at the Royal Albert Hall performing Beethoven Piano Concerto No. 5, and at Cadogan Hall, both with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. This current season sees a performance with Hamburger Symphoniker, a debut at Wigmore Hall, London and his USA debut with recitals at the Ravinia Festival in Chicago and at Lincoln Center, New York.

Tonight, we look forward to a selection of Scarlatti sonatas and to works by J.S. Bach, including Busoni’s dazzling arrangement of Chaconne.
