Cancer Research UK Race for Life event – Oxford City centre – Sunday 9 July 2017

Oxford City centre road closures: Exemptions are included for emergency services and for controlled access.

From 09:00-11:00:

·         St Cross Road, South Parks Road, Longwall Street and High street, (*except Buses and Taxis) from The Plain to St Aldates.

·         The High Street will be under traffic management with the east bound carriageway closed between Queens Lane and Longwall Street. Stop Go boards will enable traffic to flow in both directions where the normal road width is restricted.

From 09:00-12:00:

·         Queens Lane, New College Lane and Catte Street.

·         Parks Road - North bound travel will be suspended along Parks Road. The south bound carriageway will be closed with the north bound carriageway open for access for south bound traffic only. Only intermittent access, with delays likely for safety of the runners’ will be enabled southbound on Parks Road.

·         Norham Gardens - Southbound traffic will be suspended in Norham Gardens south of Bradmore Road (and diverted along Bradmore Road).

·         Due to closures access will be restricted to Holywell Street, Jowett Walk, Manor Road, Mansfield Road and Savile Road.

·         Keble Road will be made two way from the junction with Banbury Rd which will give access to Keble Road, Museum Rd and Blackhall Road only.

·         Traffic exiting Parks Road will also need to use Turl Street via Broad Street.

From 10:00-12:30:

·         Edgeway Road will be closed to the junction with Ferry Road, and Ferry Road to the cycle path for the 10k.

Alternative routes for traffic affected by the closures in the city centre are via the Oxford Ring Road, Marston Ferry Road, Marston Road from the north, and via Iffley Road, Donnington Bridge Road and Abingdon Road from the south and east, and vice versa.
