Women in Film - Emerging Talent Showcase
Free to attend, but booking is required.

Ever wondered what it really takes to create a film that stands out? How to navigate the industry and share your work with an audience? What it's like to see your film up on the big screen?
Hosted by Ghetto Film School (GFS), this event brings together emerging filmmakers, industry insiders and an audience that loves film, to celebrate the next generation of filmmakers. Watch special preview screenings of new work by up-and-coming filmmakers from Oxford, London, and beyond – including an international short film shot on location in Vancouver. You’ll hear from filmmakers about how their creative practice has developed and pick up invaluable tips from experts on developing story ideas, troubleshooting problems, budgeting and film festival strategies. You will have the chance to connect with industry professionals, emerging talent in the creative and media arts, students, and those with an interest in filmmaking and digital content development.
GFS is an award-winning global organisation with a proven history of educating, developing and celebrating the next generation of great storytellers. Their London operation (GFS LDN) focuses on supporting the writers, directors, producers and showrunners of tomorrow with 65% of their student/alumni population identifying as women.
Whether you’re a student, an aspiring filmmaker, or simply passionate about digital storytelling, this is your opportunity to meet, learn and take your next step in the film industry.
Hosted and facilitated by Ghetto Film School’s (GFS) London operation, in partnership with Oxford Brookes University, Oxford Film Foundation and Film Oxford.
Curzon Cinema has been hired as the venue for this event and this is not part of the Curzon programme. They are not involved in the ticketing or content of the screening.
