A walk of about one and a half miles encompassing key locations associated with the Pre-Raphaelite art movement. John Everett Millais, William Holman Hunt, Dante Gabriel Rossetti, Edward Burne- Jones, and William Morris will feature, plus artistic muses such as Oxford’s Jane Burden and the tragic Lizzie Siddal. Throw into the mix Lewis Carroll, this time in the guise of a gifted photographer, and the creative spirit of mid-19th century Oxford comes vividly to life. The walk will end at remarkable St Barnabas’ Church in Jericho, the benefaction of Thomas Combe of the Oxford University Press, the main Oxford patron of the movement.

The walk will commence from outside the Oxford Botanic Garden.
