Much Ado About Nothing

Summer Shakespeare in the parks!

‘Some Cupid kill with arrows, some with traps.’

OTG is delighted to be back in the beautiful surroundings of Oxford’s University Parks with a sassy and fun-filled performance of Shakespeare’s well-loved rom-com, Much Ado About Nothing.

As Count Claudio and Hero fall in love and prepare to wed, Hero’s cousin Beatrice and avowed bachelor Benedick are tricked in to believing the other loves them. The villainous Don John persuades Claudio that Hero is unfaithful and denounces her. She faints and is believed to be dead but recovers and is proved innocent. Beatrice is won over by Benedick’s heroism and Claudio is reunited with his love.
