Mozart: Mass in C minor
Tickets from £15 to £45

The Oxford Bach Choir opens its season with Mozart’s Great Mass in C minor, thought to be written in celebration of the composer’s marriage to Constanze, and full of thrilling music for his new wife to sing. Composed in Vienna in 1782-1783, the work is written for double choir, orchestra, and four soloists. We are pleased to welcome an acclaimed quartet of soloists, as well as the London Mozart Players, who will also treat us to Mozart’s Symphony No. 36 in C major, known as the Linz Symphony. The concert opens with Haydn’s Te Deum, a dramatic choral work written for the Empress Maria Theresa of Austria in 1799.
