Piano works by Judith Weir, Ben Nobuto and Martyn Harry

In this special lecture-recital given as part of Oxford University’s ‘Meeting Minds’ weekend, Professor Martyn Harry introduces his own latest piece of composition research, ‘AK-4711’ for solo piano which is innovative in the way that it uses a map of the city of Cologne, Germany, as a reference point for the work’s composition. Professor Harry also discusses two further piano pieces, one by the former Master of the Queen’s Music, Judith Weir, and ‘Emily Likes The TV’, a piece for piano and video by Ben Nobuto.
