The acclaimed pianist and composer JACK GIBBONS is joined by award-winning pianist SARAH BETH BRIGGS for an evening of much loved piano duets including Fauré’s Dolly Suite, Debussy’s Petite Suite, Schumann’s masterly Piano Quintet Op.44 in a rarely performed piano duet transcription by Clara Schumann, and the world premiere of a new transcription for piano duet by Gibbons of Gershwin’s dazzling Girl Crazy Overture (featuring the classic songs I Got Rhythm and Embraceable You). The youngest-ever finalist in the BBC Young Musician at 11, Sarah Beth Briggs went on to win the prestigious International Mozart Competition in Salzburg at just 15, and has since played with leading orchestras around the world.
