In the first of two Chopin concerts the composer’s early life is traced via his epic Ballade no.1, the dazzling Andante Spianato & Grande Polonaise Brillante Op.22, the deeply moving Romance from the Concerto Op.11 and a selection of studies, mazurkas and waltzes.
