The acclaimed pianist Jack Gibbons celebrates the 35th year of his highly popular Oxford Summer Piano Series, founded in 1988, with a welcome return to the historic Holywell Music Room. In the second of two Chopin programmes tracing the life of the composer Jack Gibbons plays music composed by Chopin at the monastery in Majorca, and played in his final concerts in Paris and England and Scotland, including the 3rd Scherzo, 'Heroic' Polonaise Op.53, Barcarolle, Berceuse and Tarantelle, plus a selection of impromptus, mazurkas, preludes and waltzes.
