Charles Spencer is an historian, author to seven non-fiction books, journalist and broadcaster. He is also the 9th Earl Spencer. He will be joined in conversation by Dinah Rose KC, President of Magdalen College Oxford since 2020.

Charles Spencer is the author of Blenheim, Battle for Europe, which was shortlisted for Historical Book of the Year at the 2005 National Book Awards; Killers of the King – which was the second highest selling History book in the UK in 2014; and The White Ship, a No. 1 bestseller on Amazon.

He has been a broadcaster for NBC News and NBC Super Channel, where he wrote and presented a documentary series, Great Houses of the World. He has been a reporter for Granada Television and a presenter for the History Channel. He has written for The Guardian, the Financial Times, The Daily Telegraph, Vanity Fair, and many others.

This promises to be a fascinating evening of discussion, and there will be the opportunity for Charles Spencer to take questions from the audience.
