Oxford Festival of the Arts
Canal, Castle and Chapel Walk
Festival-themed walk
–
Tickets £12

A waterside walk to uncover the intimate relationship between Oxford’s ‘magnificent’ Castle Gaol and its 18th-century canal. A subterranean stream; some extraordinary Victorian railway engineering; Oxford’s residential narrowboats; and an innovative floating chapel will all feature. There are some steps. Mark lived on a residential narrowboat on the Oxford Canal for nearly three decades.
Unfortunately this event is not wheelchair accessible as there are steps on the route.
Meeting point: Upper Fisher Row at the junction with Hythe Bridge Street.
