Hailed by Classic FM as “one of the world’s greatest Gershwin exponents”, JACK GIBBONS has built an enviable reputation for his interpretations of the music of GERSHWIN through his performances and award-winning “authentic Gershwin” recordings. In the second of his two all-Gershwin concerts at this years’ Summer Piano Series Gibbons plays Gershwin’s captivating songs and concerts works from the 1930s including music from Porgy and Bess, the dazzling Variations on I Got Rhythm, plus a reprise of Gershwin’s iconic Rhapsody in Blue, all music meticulously reconstructed by Gibbons from Gershwin’s own recordings and radio broadcasts.
