Hugely entertaining costume band presents a vibrant portrait of Christmas in 17th century Oxford. Performed in period costume, with music and spoken word, the concert features lute, baroque violin, hurdy gurdy, hammer dulcimer, nyckelharpa, shawm, recorder, percussion - as well as great singing voices. Carols, seasonal ballads, dance tunes and diarists' readings all contribute to the celebration.
